Macd(12,26), Force Index(13), Stochastic RSI(14). Macd and FI complement each other nicely. I like using FI and Macd together to forecast possible double tops and bottoms. Quite often the FI will diverge with price prior to or along with the Macd. I also like using the OBV. I like to focus primarily on trading stocks long/short where has recently crossed above/below it's 10 period EMA and is trending higher/lower along with price.

 If you are using indicators:

 RSI(2)

 EMA(5)

 Use them for STOCK SELECTION.

Using indicators for trading is like driving a car looking at the rear view mirror ALL THE TIME - think about it!

As THREES told me, "You can't make money looking at the chart, that's history."

Linear Regression Channel 80%. Then I look at the stock on a weekly, two year chart. The channel must be UP for me to buy. When the stock gets in the area between the first and second deviation zones it becomes a candidate. I have had good success just buying in that range, however I have had better success watching it for a turn-around and buying it on it's way back up. I use MACD, Slow Sto and DMI to determine the turn-around. Sometimes I use the weekly, 6 month chart to time my entry. I sell when the stock approaches the top of the first deviation channel on the two year chart. I am usually in a stock for 1-6 months. Sometimes you find stocks tracking right along the middle line of the channel on the two year chart, those can be good buy and hold for longer stocks. Over the years I have tried most of the indicators, but have found the LRC works best for me. And there is the key. The other posters on here have indicators that work very well for them. Great for them. You need to find something that you Learn by following it for awhile and select what works for YOU. fpapagator@aol.com
